Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: 24 June 2026
You have full control over your ShiftHawk data. Deletion is immediate and complete — here is everything you need to know about how it works, what gets removed, and how to request it if you no longer have access to the app.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (recommended)
This is the fastest path. The in-app flow removes your on-device data and your server-side account record in a single step:
- Open ShiftHawk and go to Settings (the gear icon, bottom-right).
- Scroll to the "Data & Account" section and tap "Delete all data".
- Read the confirmation screen — it tells you exactly what will be removed — then tap Confirm to proceed.
That's it. The action wipes your on-device storage and calls ShiftHawk's server to remove your account record simultaneously. You do not need to contact us separately.
Option 2 — Request deletion on the web
No app needed. Enter the email address associated with your ShiftHawk account and we'll send you a confirmation link. Clicking that link permanently deletes your account and its server-side data.
A web request deletes your account and server-side data (profile, schedules, team memberships, referrals). Data saved only on your phone is cleared when you delete the app or use Settings → Delete all data in the app. For your security we confirm every request by email, and we never reveal whether an email is registered.
Option 3 — Request deletion by email
If you'd rather not use the form above, or you run into any trouble, send a deletion request to:
[email protected] — Account Deletion Request
Please include the following in your email so we can locate your account:
- The email address or phone number you used when signing in to ShiftHawk.
- A brief note that you would like your account and all associated data deleted.
A real person reads every message. We will process the deletion and confirm by reply within 30 days — though in practice it is usually much faster.
What is deleted
Deletion removes everything ShiftHawk holds for you:
- Your account record — your login identity and any authentication tokens.
- Your on-device data — your saved schedule, shift history, colleagues' names and phone numbers, and app settings.
- Your server-side data (if you used opt-in features)
- Team Schedule Sharing: your stored calendar link, your blocked-date availability record, and your roster entry are hard-deleted immediately. The relay can no longer serve your calendar to anyone.
- Schedule Scan (OCR): ShiftHawk does not store the raw images you scanned. Only the extracted text exists, on your device — it is removed when you clear your on-device data.
- Subscriptions — subscriptions are managed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, not by ShiftHawk, so deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. If you have one, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings to stop any future charges.
What is retained (and why)
ShiftHawk is designed to hold as little as possible. There is one narrow exception:
- Transaction records for legal and tax compliance. If you made an in-app purchase, Apple or Google processes the payment — ShiftHawk never receives your card details. We may retain a minimal record of the transaction event (date, product, anonymous identifier) as required by law for financial and tax purposes. This retention is governed by applicable tax and accounting rules and does not include your schedule, contacts, or other personal data.
Outside of that narrow exception, deletion is complete. We hold nothing else.
Timeline
In-app deletion is immediate — your account and server-side data are removed the moment you confirm. Email-requested deletions are processed within 30 days of your request, and we will confirm once complete.
